Photo Locals rave over this unpretentious gem, just a couple of blocks from Broadway on 25th Street.

Open only for breakfast and lunch, La Estacion features an array of authentic Mexican favorites, like huge breakfast burritos bursting with eggs, bacon, potatoes; crispy south-of-the-border tacos; crunchy, garden-fresh salads; and creamy, satisfying enchiladas.

There's a reason the locals love La Estacion. Try it for yourself, and you'll see why.

Gerald7/21/2008 7:45:00 AMIt took me 4 months (I'm a transplant from San Antonio) but I finally found a place that comes close (and is some ways surpasses) to San Antonio Tex-Mex restaurants. This place is superb. Great breakfast plates and great breakfast burritos. Their serving sauce, which I consider to be of upmost importance, is fantastic.
Kyle7/20/2008 6:34:00 AMI have eaten at most of the Mexican food restaurants in Galveston that serve breaskfast burritos and La Estacion's are by far the best!!
s. abston5/17/2008 6:20:00 PMI've eaten here for years and it's always fabulous! 2 words- HOMEMADE TORTILLAS :)
.J.E. Reeves3/16/2008 11:44:00 PMIncredible! Always more than you can possibly eat. The prices are among the most reasonable on The Island, the staff makes you feel like you are in their home and the service is lightning fast! Not a tourist trap. Eat with the Islanders, eat at La Estacion!
