About
The Texas City Dike projects 5.3 miles into Galveston Bay and is a popular fishing and birding location. The Texas State Legislature authorized the construction of the dike in 1935 and ceded ownership to the City of Texas City. Today, the City promotes it as “the longest man-made fishing pier in the world”.

Admission
- $10 per vehicle for non-residents
- Free to Texas City residents with a sticker.
Fishing
Most people simply pull off to the side of the road at their favorite spot, however, their are fishing piers that extend out over the water. Popular catches include speckled trout, redfish, sheepshead, and flounder.
Boat Ramps
Multiple boat ramps are available with ample parking.
The First Lady Pavilion
The pavilion is available for rent from the City of Texas City.
