Hotel Pools. Who Makes The Biggest Splash?
I’ve hung out at lots of hotel pools on the island. Some kick things up a notch.
My two favorites are the San Luis Resort and Hotel Galvez. They both have swim-up bars and private cabanas to rent (may be seasonal). The San Luis can get a bit rambunctious in the summer. The pool at the Hotel Galvez is a little more chill.
Here are some features that make them worth considering:
Want your own private retreat? Want drinks and food delivered to you poolside? I don’t know why you would, but do you want to watch TV by the pool? Rent a private cabana!
Experience resort relaxation at its finest in a private cabana. For privacy and comfort, cabanas are lavishly furnished with overstuffed lounge chairs, a personal mini-fridge, variable-speed ceiling fans, and state-of-the-art personal flat screen TVs. Cabana rental includes preferred table-side food and beverage service with fresh fruit, bottled water and a bottle of Champagne.
When you want to take a break from the heated saline pool and seasonal swim-up bar, the plush seating in these cabanas are perfect for reading a book, closing your eyes, or watching TV.
For an exclusive experience, book a poolside cabana, with a ceiling fan, fresh fruit, expedited food and beverage service and seating for four.
Take in the scenic views of sun-kissed sand and gentle waves as you dip into tranquility at The Cove pool. Adorned in soothing shades of white and coral, our chic coastal hideaway sets the scene for poolside lounging with luxurious sun loungers, daybeds, private cabanas, and a private plunge pool.
Dry off by the outdoor fire pits while enjoying unique tropical cocktails and expertly-crafted cuisine from the pool bar; or sink back and watch the sun as it sets over the Gulf of Mexico. As the energy shifts throughout the day, our carefully curated and globally-sourced playlist matches to create the perfect ambiance.
Families are welcome at all island hotels, but some make the kids feel extra special.
