Recently Expanded Waterman's Marina: A Great Deal

Updated 818 days ago

If you haven’t been out to see Waterman’s Restaurant & Marina recently, you should go take a look.   They recently completed an expansion of the marina, and it’s impressive.

They have a total of 127 slips, but a few are sitting empty.  For a limited time, they are offering two months free with a 12 month contract for new clients.  At $300 per month, that’s a great deal!  You can call (409) 224-8881 and mention Galveston.com for more details.

It’s a full-service marina - offering fuel, a boat launch, fishing supplies, and bait.  Their concierge service will even gas your boat, perform maintenance, stock it with ice and bait, have it waiting upon your arrival, and will clean it when you return from fishing.

And of course,  being able to walk upstairs to Waterman's Restaurant is not a bad perk either.  The restaurant is known for their steak and seafood specialties, including shrimp kisses, signature red snapper dishes, and lobster bisque, to name just a few. And, seasonally, the downstairs open-air bar they call the Sand Bar is a great place to grab a beer after a day on the water.

The marina expansion was an early part of a bigger project known as Bayside at Waterman’s, a luxury, waterfront, master-planned community.

Developers Todd and Lori Edwards, of Stonehenge Real Estate Investments Co. in Houston, envision Bayside at Waterman’s to be like the neighborhoods where they grew up - a neighborhood where children will ride their bicycles to the community pool, neighbors will chat over the picket fence, and father and son will cast fishing lines on the boardwalk.

The heart of Bayside at Waterman’s is the historic 1926 Stewart Mansion. The Spanish-style stucco home was built for prominent Galveston resident George Sealy, Jr., and his wife, Eugenia Taylor. Vacant for years and falling into disrepair, the mansion was put on the Galveston Historical Foundation Heritage at Risk list. Now the mansion has been revitalized, and will soon become the Bayside at Waterman’s community center featuring a swimming pool, a lazy river, amphitheater, and event space.

These aren’t just plans!  The roads are in, construction of the lazy river has begun, two model homes are open, and the grand opening of the Stewart Mansion will soon be announced.

If the marina expansion is any indication, this is going to be a great place to own a home.  The empty marina slips are sure to fill up, so the time to get a slip is now.  New clients can give them a call at (409) 224-8881 and mention Galveston.com to get two months free with a 12 month contract.
