Galveston Island Wine Festival, Labor Day Weekend
Chef Brian Duffy is bringing his bold culinary style and larger-than-life personality to the Galveston Island Wine Festival at Moody Gardens, taking place Sept. 4-6 over Labor Day weekend. Duffy will cook for both of the festival’s signature evening events: Friday night’s White Linen Seafood Extravaganza and Saturday night’s Penguins & Pinot: Grand Tasting.
Duffy brings more than three decades of experience as a chef, restaurateur and consultant to the Galveston Island Wine Festival. He has appeared on Food Network’s “Beat Bobby Flay” and “BBQ Brawl” and served as a culinary consultant on “Bar Rescue.” Through his Duffified Experience Group, Duffy has consulted on more than 100 restaurant openings and renovations.
On Friday evening, Duffy will join the culinary lineup at the White Linen Seafood Extravaganza, where premier chefs prepare gourmet seafood dishes paired with exceptional wines from renowned wine regions around the world. On Saturday, he’ll join guests inside the Aquarium Pyramid for Penguins & Pinot: Grand Tasting, featuring wines and spirits, Gulf Coast cuisine and the immersive Oceans of the World exhibits.
The Galveston Island Wine Festival brings together award-winning wines, coastal cuisine and live entertainment throughout Labor Day weekend at Moody Gardens. The weekend continues Sunday with a McPherson Cellars Wine Paired Dinner at Shearn’s Seafood and Prime Steaks, where guests can cap their festival experience with an exceptional dinner featuring expertly paired wines from Texas’ own McPherson Cellars.
