Berthed at Galveston Yacht Basin, Sea Play is a full time fishing guide service here on Galveston Island.  They offer many types of charters and they tailor these trips to just what you want to catch!

SeaPlay IV
Most of our Galveston Jetty Charters are aboard the 27’ Key West Center Console, SeaPlay IV.  She’s the perfect jetty boat offering 360 degree fishability that can be expected from Center Consoles.  She features a large T-Top providing shade on those warm summer days, ample seting, and a large restroom located in the console that ladies are sure to appreciate.

Our Galveston Jetty Charter is a short 30 minute boat ride to the fishing and provides plenty of excitement for those not wanting to spend as much time on the water.  During summer months (May through September) they catch plenty of Bull Reds and large sharks.  You may also find Flounder, Jackfish and Mackerel at the end of your line as well.  During early spring (February – March) the annual Galveston Jetty Drum Run is in full  swing and encounters with Large Drum, exceeding 25 pounds, can be expected.

During the fall, the annual migration of Flounder from Galveston Bay through the Jetties and ultimately offshore is occurring and this is the perfect time to intercept these tasty fish.

Our Galveston Shark Charter trip is the perfect trip for the adrenaline charged junkies seeking the thrill of catching a large shark.  During the warm summer months, the offshore waters of Galveston are the perfect place to intercept these large predators.  You will fish shrimp boats, nearshore rigs, anchored ships, and other location that large sharks frequent.  Encounters with large sharks exceeding 100 pounds are not uncommon.  All of these charters are offered about our center console SeaPlay IV.  Trip length is usually 6-7 hours.

SeaPlay V
All of their Galveston Deep Sea Fishing Charter packages are aboard their 40’ AIR CONDITIONED custom Express, SeaPlay V.  She is a large, comfortable charter boat with many of the amenities you’d expect with a larger boat.  She has a large comfortable air conditioned cabin as well as a private restroom.  She is powered with twin diesel engines for safety and reliability.  She also boast a full complement of electronics for finding those big Galveston fish.

Pricing for Galveston offshore fishing packages are based on length of the charter.  The offer 6, 8, or 12 hour charters.  Usually travel 10 to 25 miles offshore for the six hour charter, 25-30 miles on the eight hour charter, and 35+ miles on their  12 hour charter.

You will bottom fish for Red Snapper (in season), troll weedlines for large Mahi Mahi and Wahoo, and sightcast work bottom structures for other fish (i.e. Amberjack, Grouper, or Kingfish).  The most productive time of year for these charters is May thought October as most of the targeted species are referred to as pelagic or migratory fish and prefer the warmer waters of the summer months.
