Just moved to galveston for school and a classmate of mine always talks about how good this place is, so i was excited to try it out...Boy was i disappointed!! It's not comparable to the ones in houston at all!!! It's totally over price for the quality and quantity of the food they give you, plus its in a ghetto/run down old house. In houston, it only cost me $4.95 for a vermicelli w/ beef plate.. here it $10.95!!! They're crazy! Guess my friend nvr tried real viet food. lol! BUT DONT WORRY...I JUST DISCOVERED THAT THERE'S A NEW VIET RESTAURANT IN TOWN...AND ITS ACTUALLY ALOT BETTER!! forgot the name, Pho something...but its close to walgreens/chiles restaurant going towards east beach i think?! try it out! | | Jonathan | 5/29/2008 8:30:00 AM | I just moved to Galveston from Houston. Wasn't impressed the first time, but gave it another chance. I ordered Bun, with chicken and beef. The beef was too thick, and the chicken was full of gristle. Guess I'll be going back to Le Viet on Westheimer. | | ck | 4/7/2008 2:59:00 PM | Best Asian place on the island, hands down. The staff is so friendly and prompt. The food is fresh and delicious. I agree that you have to try the veggie spring rolls. Best I've ever had. | | Robert | 3/25/2008 11:10:00 PM | One of the best restaurants on the island. Pho 20 is among the best Vietnamese and Thai I have ever had. Wait staff is friendly and courteous, and food is made promptly. Don't miss out on the veggie spring rolls. |
