Manhattan and Galveston actually have a few things in common. Both are long narrow islands developed around natural deep water ports, with precious real estate divided into blocks of numbered streets and long avenues. But what do New Yorkers really think about
our sand bar? Well one New York Times travel correspondent seems to love it.
Intent on uncovering the true taste of Galveston, New York Times travel reviewer Simon Romero discovered the secret joie de vie of this place, which has been slumbering through time in the metaphoric guise of Charles Dicken's Ms. Havershim and now seems to be suddenly awakened, if not actually transubstantiated, into a post-virginal Madonna (the one at Maverick records, not the one over at the Vatican).
Mod features fine coffees, espresso, teas, smoothies, desserts, snacks, and red and white wines.
Voted Best Coffee year after year after year!
