J.E.. Reeves8/23/2008 10:06:00 PMI eat all over The Island and when I want Italian, this is the place. I'm not putting down the others, but there's something special about this place. The quality of service and the menu are among the best. When you order a small pizza, you are really getting a medium or large. And, this is the real thing, not some knock-off trying to disguise itself as a "real" Italian food stop.Don't forget the canolli! I always need a doggy bag.
Tom8/7/2008 7:51:00 AMFriendliest place I ever went to. I take my kids there and they give them pizza dough to play with while waiting. The pizza is the best west of the Mississippi. I can't speak too highly of this restaurant.
Marty6/12/2008 6:07:00 PMOur family spent Thanksgiving '07 in Galveston and wished we would have been able to eat at Gino's instead of the turkey meal we got at the local hotel buffet that day. Gino's was so wonderful and memorable that we are making a special trip back just for Father's Day. It was the first choice of all the dads in our group. The Italian Cake can't be duplicated -my daughter and I have compared at other local places - not even close. I love to see the twinkle in my husband and son-in-law's eyes when the suggestion was brought up to drive to Gino's. Enjoy!
Whitney5/26/2008 4:40:00 PMBeing an avid Italian food eater I have to say this was the worst I have had in a very long time. The cheapest entree is like $10.00 and it tastes like something you can buy at the frozen food section of your local grocery store. I dont think I will ever be eating there again.
Bev5/24/2008 4:18:00 AMI had pizza with my family around 4:00 p.m. on a weekday this past week. The owner regaled us with tales of his growing up in Sicily in summers, while going to school in Galveston during the school year. The pizza was GREAT (we all commented that it was the best we had ever had)! The atmosphere was GREAT! I would recommend Gino's anytime to any lover of good food! We will be returning soon!
Robert3/25/2008 11:19:00 PMBy far the best family Italian restaurant on the island. Pizza is a wonderful combination of crispy outer with warm soft interior and toppings are excellent. However, the best item on the menu is their canolli, one of the best deserts in the Houston area.
