Photo Captain Jason Woods has over 10 years experience fishing the waters off Galveston Island and Freeport. He is a US Coast Guard Licensed Captain (USCG# 2767672) and offers bay and jetty fishing from a 24 ft center console with all electronics and a t-top. Deep sea fishing is out of a 30 ft fully loaded Seahunt powered by twin 250s to get you to the spots quickly and safely. Shark fishing is from a 27 ft fully loaded Seahunt powered by twin 200s.

Rod Bending Charters offer several different types of fishing trips to accommodate the needs of all anglers. Full or half day trips are available and corporate groups are welcome.

Bay and jetty fishing is a great trip for the whole family, it is a quick 15 minute boat ride and the expected catch will be redfish, trout, drum, whiting, jacks, mackerel and sharks.

Shark fishing is action packed as you follow dragging shrimp boats and fishing chum lines your expected catch will be many different species of shark including black tip, lemon, bull, hammerhead and tiger. As an added bonus you can target giant tarpon as well as king and jack fish.

Deep sea fishing (50+ miles offshore) is a full day of big fish action. Expected catch will be red snapper, grouper, ling, kingfish, wahoo, mahi mahi, tuna, amberjack and shark. Out there you never know what you will catch.

Trophy Bull Red fishing season is September thru November, these fish are pure muscle and are a average of 35 inches in length, some may grow to reach 50 inches in length.

Winter flounder fishing season is late October thru December with November being the best month. Large numbers of flounder migrate through the Galveston Ship Channel. We target the flounder using live bait.

Captain Jason Woods takes great pride in providing a very memorable fishing experience.
