James7/17/2008 8:52:00 AMDrove down from Wichita Falls to take my 11 yr old son to the pier last week. He caught fish until his arms were tired. We also caught a sea snake and sting ray. It was a unique experience we will never forget. This is what childhood memories are made of.
JOE7/13/2008 9:14:00 PMTook my 9yr old son fishing there last week for his first time and it was great!! He caught over 25 fish with in 3 hours. He caught trout, red, croaker, crabs and a couple of small sharks. We had a blast and plan to go again soon. The pier is well stocked with all your needs.
T.G.7/10/2008 10:22:00 AM My daughter and I love to fish and are very novice at it.We always catch something here. Last month was the best ever. WE CAUGHT A SEA TURTLE ! WOW WHAT A ONCE IN A LIFE TIME HAPPENING. ( even if we had to turn it over to the game warden .:)).
RAY SMITH7/8/2008 9:03:00 PMME AND MY WIFE CAME HERE ON VACTION TO FISH. IT WAS GREAT! CAUGHT A VARIETY OF FISH, BUT BEST OF ALL I GOT A HUGE CREVILLE JACK. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. WE WILL BE BACK IN SOON.
Paul6/26/2008 4:37:00 AMThis is my get away when I off from work. I often invite my friends to experience the pier! The owner is a down to earth person and the people that work there are friendly(even MIKE). It is awesome to experience the sunrise, I recommend this pier to everyone that is interested in fishing!!!
Matt6/17/2008 4:54:00 PMI have been fishing here since the day it opened. It only cost $2.50 in 1973. The price was $9 for 5 years, its about time for the extra $1. Pier was half shut down because of 25+ mile an hour winds and 7-9 foot waves. Thanks GFP for thinking of my safety and not letting me get to an area that I could have been washed overboard. Although there are other piers this is "THE ONLY ONE" in town.
Frank6/9/2008 7:48:00 AMLove the pier but if half of it is shut down, why charge the full fee? Seems a little underhanded.
rudy soza6/8/2008 11:21:00 AMexcelent pier fishing.11 species of fish can be caught from here.great ambience too.the price went up another dollar, but still great/
JEEP5/26/2008 2:19:00 AMi have been fishing this pier for a long time now, and every time i go something exciting always happens. in my opinion ot's one of the best places to fish while in Galveston.
Shervin5/22/2008 4:10:00 PMPlace is affordable and is quite large compared to the other pier in the area. Brining your own beer is a plus. If I am pier fishing this is where I enjoy spending my time.
