During a promotional tasting in September of 2011, the first beer served at Brews Brothers was their original brew nicknamed the "1900 Great Stout." This high volume stout aged over 100 year old Galveston Oak was a pitch black malt bomb with hints of chocolate, bourbon, and vanilla. Today, the bar proudly serves the finest craft beers available from breweries both local and abroad.
Drop by and enjoy the exceptional service and quality beer that have made Brews Brothers the newest island tradition.

I ventured out to a happy hour at Brews Brothers on the Strand on a recent evening. Expecting just brews and a few bar snacks, I was very pleasantly surprised by their food offerings.
The intriguing menu offers a large variety of half-pound burgers topped with about anything you might want. I had mine simple and it was big and juicy and delicious, accompanied by home-cut potato chips that are out of this world. My friend ordered an excellent "Big Stick," a bratwurst corn dog, also accompanied by chips. Next time I'm going to try "This Little Piggy." Or maybe the Ceviche. Or the Watermelon Gazpacho. I think you get the idea, this is not just obligatory bar food.
Waitstaff are attentive and friendly and the crowd was congenial. By the way, they do live up to their "Brews Brothers" name. The beer selection is excellent with lots of unique drafts. Each week they offer draft specials with attractive prices. Because they serve food the place is smoke-free as well for those who prefer that environment. It is a lively place so prepare to enjoy your time there as well as your food.
