Wave Dancer Charters is a World Class Offshore Fishing Company based out of Galveston, Texas. They are a family oriented and kid friendly charter service dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable day on the water.
They are State & Federal licensed and insured, and have over 30 years of experience fishing the Gulf of Mexico. They are a Private Charter Company with charters for up to six people per boat with multiple boats for large groups. They offer Half and Full day trips Close In around the Jetties and Ship Channel for Speckled Trout, Redfish, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Flounder, Gafftop, Cobia, Tarpon, Shark and more. They offer amenities onboard such as a bathroom on all their boats, Extra Large T-Tops for Shade, and plenty of seating and fishing room. They have the latest in safety equipment, the latest in fish finding and navigational equipment to get to the fish quicker. All their trips are All-Inclusive, which include fuel, bait, ice, rod and reel, tackle, ice cold bottled water, and fish cleaned and bagged.
They have 3 boats to choose from or to handle larger parties: A 25’ Stamas 250 Tarpon Center Console, with a new 2016 Tohatsu 250 four stroke low emission, extra quite outboard, And TWO, 33 foot Donzi ZF center consoles, both with new twin 2015 Tohatsu 250 four stroke low emission, extra quite outboards. All 3 boats can fish up to six people in comfort.
6 Hour Kingfish Trip Offshore (15-30 Miles Offshore; May- August)
This trip is for up to 6 people on our 33’ Donzi and is packed full of action chasing one of the fastest swimming, toughest fighting, fish in the Gulf of Mexico, King Mackerel. We will also occasionally catch Spanish mackerel, Cobia, (ling) Sharks, Triple Tail, small Snapper and other species. This trip is $1,200 total price and requires a $400 deposit to book.
Shark Hunting Trip Offshore for Big Sharks (May-September)
This trip is for up to 6 people for 6 hours total time on our 33’ Donzi. This trip is packed full of adrenaline and heart pumping action. As you will hunt big sharks offshore near platforms, reefs, wrecks, around shrimp boats and on the beachfront. Guaranteed to make you want to come back and do it again and again. This trip is $1,200 total price and requires a $400 deposit to book.
Galveston Offshore/Deep Sea Fishing Trips
This trip is for up to 6 people, is an 8 hour trip, and will travel 20-40 miles offshore. Some of the catches include: King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Dorado (Mahi, Mahi), Cobia (ling), Red Snapper, Tarpon, Tripple Tail, Triggerfish, Jack Cravelle, Shark and more. Plan to leave the dock at 7:00am and return at 3:00pm. The total price of the trip is $1,600 — a $400 deposit is required to book the trip.
Blue Water Deep Sea Trips
This trip is for up to 6 people, is 10 to 12 hours long and will travel 50-70 miles offshore. Some of the catches include Red Snapper, Grouper, King Mackerel, Dorado, Cobia, Tarpon, Barracuda, Tuna, Wahoo, Amberjack, Sailfish, and more. You will leave the dock at 6am and return between 4pm and 6pm. The total price of the trip is $2,000 — a $400 deposit is required to book the trip.
Shark and Galveston Jetty Trips
Shark trips are offered May through September when the water in the gulf is warmer. Half day and full day Galveston Jetty Trips are offered year round. Some of the fish caught on Jetty trips include: Speckled Trout, Flounder, Redfish, Black Drum, Gafftop, Shark, Spanish Mackerel, Jack Cravelle, Tarpon, Cobia, and more. A $200 deposit is required to book the trip. The Half day trips (4 full hours fishing time, total 5 hours) leave the dock at 7am and return at 11-11:30am or leave at 1:30 pm return at 5:30-6:00 pm. Full day trips (6 full hours of fishing time, total 7-8 hours) leave the dock at 7am and return between 1:30-2:30pm. The Jetty Half Day Trips start at $450 and the Full Day Trips start at $650. Shark Trips start at $550 for a half day and $750 for a full day for up to six people.
Deposits are non-refundable unless the Captain cancels due to unsafe or unfavorable conditions. Deposit then can be changed to another date by the Captain. Please remember the customary gratuity for your Captain and the crew is 20% of the trip price. They work hard before and after every trip as well as during the trip to keep everyone catching fish.
