Spring Break Camps Open For Registration
Artist Boat's Eco and Eco-Art Camps
Artist Boat is gearing up to provide unique coastal experiences during their Spring Break ECO and Eco-Art Camps.
|Eco and Eco-Art Camps||Artist Boat|
ECO Camp is designed for kids aged 11 to 15 who are adventurous and not afraid of getting their feet wet! Campers will explore the wetland environment around Galveston Bay in a human powered vessel and on nature walks. They will learn to kayak with American Canoe Association’s Quick Start Skills: rescue skills, how to handle the weather, trip planning and more. Campers will also practice different fishing techniques such as seining, cast netting, and crabbing. And to fuel this exciting exploration; every camper will get to make and bake their own personal pizza at Artist Boat’s outdoor classroom. Snacks and water will not be provided.
Each day of ECO Camp is the same, so sign up for just one day this spring break. Single day sessions costs $100 per camper.
Eco-Art Camp is designed for kids aged 5 to 10. Campers will experience true science and art enrichment with the creation of Eco-Art. Each camper will create high quality art projects, which illustrate all that they have learned throughout camp. Each day is free standing and sports a different theme. Themes include Fish Frenzy, Whale of a Time, Shark Mania, Off the Deep End, and Invertebrates! Come for one or come for all!
Eco-art Camp single day sessions are $70 per camper.
Camps will be held from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm from Monday, March 15th to Friday, March 19th at Artist Boat’s Coastal Heritage Preserve.
Registration is now OPEN and spaces are limited to 10 campers per day for both ECO and Eco-Art camps. To learn more and register your camper, please visit: www.artistboat.org/eco-camps.
Artist Boat cares about the safety of every camper and will be adhering to CDC guidelines. Daily stringent cleaning practices will be implemented and every camper is required to wear a face mask when inside or in close proximity to other campers.
