Rescued from demolition, this Galveston Alley House was moved to this site by Galveston Historical Foundation in 2010. A competition was held to design the new interior and this is the stunning result. As a one bedroom vacation rental with a huge enclosed garden, the Broadway Dacha has been quite popular. Featured in two homes tours, it is an historic landmark of the City. Beautiful exposed lumber walls, cerulean stained floors and a functional and compact kitchen with custom cabinets from the workshop of local craftsman Max Fritzler. Wall mounted ductless heating and cooling ensure the house is comfortable and inexpensive to enjoy year round.
