Photo Contest Grand Prize Winner Announced

Last Updated: April 16, 2021 by Lee Roane | Events, Birding

It’s an exciting time for birders on Galveston Island!

The annual FeatherFest Birding & Nature Photography Festival is happening now and our migratory friends from Central and South America are beating wings across the Gulf of Mexico headed for a stop on the island.

The April festival was preceded by a Photo Contest in March where serious and casual photographers could show off their best shots and compete for the Grand Prize.  The Grand Prize winner was just announced.  Scroll down to see all the winners.

If you are heading to the island for some of the action, check out our Birding Guide for information on What You Might Find, Where To Look, and When To Come.
