#GALVESTONCARES

Earlier this month, communities in South Texas were devastated from the effects of Hurricane Harvey. Being fortunate to receive minimal damages, the Galveston community has been working to aid its inland neighbors, from sending first responders to the mainland to assist in water rescues and housing displaced residents to organizing shelters and relief fundraisers.

Going forward, we hope Galveston can provide a sense of normalcy for those who want to just take a break, relax and let the Gulf breezes bring a sense of calm after the storm. As a small gesture, the island will roll out the welcome mat Sept. 30 – Oct. 1 for a #GalvestonCares weekend, offering a free weekend at the beach and special promotions to raise funds for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

We invite you to come and enjoy time with your families. Make memories and treasure the things in life that matter the most.
