Captain Ron hails from a family of die-hard fisherman and got hooked at a really young age and has been fishing Galveston for over 25 years. As a Marine Science major from Texas A&M at Galveston, Captain Ron can show you the ecosystem of Galveston Bay like no other guide out there.
Captain Ron uses a Sea Hunt BX-22 Pro with cushioned seating for four passengers and standing room for two more. This is the ultimate Galveston fishing boat! The boat is equipped with a Yamaha 150hp engine, GPS navigation unit, Fish Finder, and most importantly, a large ice compartment for all of those tasty fish you catch.
As a licensed USCG Captain he keeps all of his safety gear in top shape including and emergency GPS locator beacon, VHF marine radio, USCG approved life vests with lights and whistle attached, and running lights, flood lights, and signal flares.
Bay & Jetty Fishing
You can catch it all at the jetties! Only a 15 minute boat ride from the dock, you can expect to catch a wide variety of fish. Common species include: Trout, Redfish, Black Drum, Sharks, Mackerel, Pompano, Crevalle Jack, and Sheepshead. Under right conditions you might also find Tarpon, Ling, Kingfish, Large Black Drum and Redfish.
Bay trips target Speckled Trout, Redfish and Flounder. These species can be found year round in the bays and can be caught on a variety of artificial baits as well as live bait. Incredible Trout and Red action can be found during the summer and winter months. Flounder can be caught year round but are easily targeted and caught in great numbers between October and early December. During the Flounder run it’s not uncommon to catch over 50 fish on a good day!

Near Shore State Water and Shark Hunts
The Texas state waters extend out to nine nautical miles off shore and are abundant with a variety of species during different times of the year. Ling and Triple Tail can be targeted April through November. Tarpon, Kings, Jacks, and sharks can be found June through October. You can be sure that whatever you hook will make your reel scream and your arms sore!
