In Episode Five of Artifacts. Stories., I join Kathleen Maca, author of Galveston's Broadway Cemeteries, on the roof of the Hendley Building where the JOLO Guard stood watch during the Civil War. Rosenberg Library's Museum Curator, Eleanor Barton, shows the JOLO Guard's log book.
Last year, I decided it was time to learn more of Galveston's colorful history. This video series is some of what I learned. I understand that this is not a cinematic work of art. I'm simply sharing what I learned. If you have any suggestions for improvement - or story ideas! - please post them in the Disqus comments below.
