Updated 139 days ago

Have you noticed the giant shark on the Seawall? It’s part of a new attraction called “Shark Attack & The Mysterious Underworld 5D."

This Landry’s Inc. attraction will be composed of two separate attractions in one, 1,500 square foot, building. The building is be located at 2424 Seawall Blvd., next to the Chik-fil-A.

Landry’s has designed an experience that will simulate a situation similar to being attacked by a shark.

The main thrill will be a scene of an aggressive shark attempting to break through its aquarium’s glass. You will feel the ground shake, water splashing and more in this exciting demonstration.

The second attraction is going to be a simulated ride on a mine car in to “The Mysterious Underworld.” Not many details have been released about this. Thrill seekers are surely eager to find out more!

This is the first attraction that Tilman Fertitta and Landry’s Inc. will bring to Galveston Island since the opening of the Historic Pleasure Pier in 2012. The project was set to be completed by Labor Day, but it may be pushed back due to minor set-backs, according to a contractor onsite.
