DESCRIPTION:Shark Tales\nCHOMP!\nYour kids can learn more about these misunderstood creatures that lurk in the Gulf of Mexico through a Dogfish Shark dissection! Kids will come home with a plaster-sculpted shark head and some clay shark teeth.\nArt meets science in Artist Boat’s Eco-Art camp sessions! Campers will experience true science and art enrichment with the creation of Eco-Art and exploration of Artist Boat’s Coastal Heritage Preserve. Each camper will create high quality art projects and explore like a young naturalist. Each day is a different theme. Come for one or come for all!\n\nSessions limited to 12 campers enrolled in K-5th grade\nCamp sessions are $80 for a one-day session\n\nRegistration is open! Gross!\nMarine Debris is one of the biggest problems our oceans are facing today! In this day camp, students will Beautify a Bucket to help promote awareness for our Galveston Beaches and participate in a Marine Debris Art Contest.\nTuesday, March 12th – Big Bird Adventure\nBinoculars provided!\nThere is no shortage of birds to see on the Coastal Heritage Preserve. Campers will explore the coastal prairies and paint like John James Audubon. They will also bring home a bird portrait painting and a birdhouse.\nWednesday, March 13th – A Sea of Change\nYou’ll be blown away!\nDuring A Sea of Change, campers will get an introduction to learning how wind, waves, and weather works. They will get hands on experience with wind and wave energy, and get to create art to reflect what they learn.\nThursday, March 14th – Fun Fishing Adventure\nSpend the day fishing with us!\nKids will learn different fishing techniques like how to seine, throw a cast net, and go crabbing! Students will also learn the ancient art of fish printing and dissecting a perch.\nFriday, March 15th – Shark Tales\nCHOMP!\nYour kids can learn more about these misunderstood creatures that lurk in the Gulf of Mexico through a Dogfish Shark dissection!
