Wagner Sousa Modern Art is a traditional modern gallery, with a small set of artists who the gallery represents with exhibitions during the year.

The gallery also seeks out emerging talent which is featured in one and two-person shows.

Occasionally, there are larger group showings.

Openings take place during ArtWalk, sponsored by the Galveston Arts Center. Works on paper, paintings, sculpture, photographs, and modern craft furniture are all featured in the space throughout the year.

Wagner Sousa Modern Art is located on 25th Street, literally steps from Postoffice Street and the Historic Downtown Strand District.

From Bolivar Peninsula to The Strand:
Starting from Crystal Beach, travel approximately 10.7 miles to the Bolivar Ferry. Upon exiting the Ferry, take Ferry Road (SR-87) and head southeast approximately .9 miles. Turn right (west) onto Harborside Drive. Travel approximately 1.5 miles along Harborside Dr. to 25th St. (Rosenberg Ave.). Turn left onto 25th, and travel approximately .2 mile to the corner of 25th and Market St. Wagner Sousa will be on your left, at 404 25th St.

From Houston:
Travel Interstate 45 South (Gulf Freeway) to the Galveston Causeway. Soon after crossing the Causeway, exit 1-C. Turn left onto Harborside Dr. and continue for several miles to downtown Galveston. Turn right onto 25th St. (Rosenberg Ave.), and continue to the corner of 25th and Market St. Wagner Sousa will be on your left, at 404 25th St.
