[February 26, 2010] - Introducing The 3rd Annual Great Galveston.com Treasure Hunt, a 9-week fun-filled journey for Galveston.com fans that'll have you searching far and wide, for all things Galveston Island. At the end, our resident Jean Lafitte will have in his (or her) possession 9 hard-won answers to clues provided on the Galveston.com Podcast. Clues will be hidden beginning with the February 28th episode, and concluding with the April 25th episode.

Here's how the Treasure Hunt Works:
Beginning with the February 28th episode of Podcast Galveston, and continuing each week for 9 Weeks concluding April 25th, a Clue will be provided somewhere within the show. It will be your job to then find the answer to the clue (or follow the clue's special directions) in any of the following places:

1) Anywhere on www.galveston.com. The answer can be tucked away in the history section, hiding behind a meatball in our Italian cuisine section, lurking somewhere in our Weather Blog, or even riding down the Seawall over in Outdoor Recreation & Fun. Feel free to use the state-of-the-art Search Engine within Galveston.com to find the answer you seek.

2) Hidden in past episodes of the Galveston.com Podcast, produced weekly. For up-to-the-minute podcasts, subscribe to our Podcast RSS Feed at http://feeds.galveston.com/podcastgalveston.

3) Hidden within the Galveston.com Video Channel

4) Hidden within the Galveston.com Facebook Fan Page

As you find the answers to each clue, keep them safely tucked away. At the end of the contest, you'll then have to produce all 9 answers to the 9 weeks of clues - in order - to our team at galveston.com. The first person who submits all 9 correctly and in order via email or fax to treasure@galveston.com or (409)765-3535 will win.
