The Galveston Strand's shopping mainstay, Maggie's, has a new name and new management.

Allen and Tina LeCornu, owners of The Admiralty Marine Model Gallery, have taken over ownership of Maggie's and renamed it Tina's.

The boutique store, which carries clothes, gifts and bath items, will have the same look and feel as the original.

The LeCornus secured a long-term lease on the Maggie's location at 2326 Strand and worked with the previous owners to procure all of the store's inventory and fixtures.

Tina's carries lines including Casafina Fine Portuguese Stoneware, Lady Primrose Royal Bathing and Skin Luxuries and Tina's Blend candle line. Clothing lines include Barbara Lesser, Lynn Ritchie, P.K. Max, Flax and Flax Solitaire.

Sunday thru Thursday: 10am - 6pm
Friday & Saturday : 10am - 9pm

From Bolivar Peninsula to The Strand:
Starting from Crystal Beach, travel approximately 10.7 miles to the Bolivar Ferry. Upon exiting the Ferry, take Ferry Road (SR-87) and head southeast approximately .9 miles. Turn right (west) onto Harborside Drive. Travel approximately 1.4 miles along Harborside Dr. Turn left (south) onto 23rd Street (Tremont St.) and travel approximately .1 miles to The Strand (Ave. B).
