With its proximity to Houston, you might think that Galveston is an over-developed urban vacation center. While we do have a downtown historic district that has existed for over 100 years, there is simply no way Galveston could be considered over-developed. On the contrary--there are still large tracts of land with no development whatsoever, and that's the way it will stay.
