Ohana Surf & Skate, located across from one of the most popular Galveston surf breaks (The Flagship) and adjacent to the Galveston Johnny M. Romano Memorial Skatepark has a 180-degree view of the beach from its spacious 3800 sq. ft. retail space.
Before you head to the beach, Ohana offers one of the only Live Surf Cams with Streaming Video which scans the Flagship to 29th St. jetty, for surfers in search of juicy Galveston waves.
Located at 28th & Seawall Boulevard and on the route from major hotels or on the way to the historic strand-shopping district, Ohana launched its initial contemporary Hawaiian surf / skate boutique in the spring of ?05.
Ohana's product mix is balanced between men's/young men's, women's/jr's, and youth (boy's/girl's) surf and skate apparel from Volcom, Hurley, Billabong, O?Neill, Element and more...all of which is merchandised in coordinate groups for easy styling for the fashion forward beach to street customer.
Ohana offers surf and skate clinics with advance notice for a nominal fee. As a licensed Billabong Camps operator, Ohana Surf Camps include information on water safety, protecting our resources and the basics of surfing for kids ages 6 to 17, while their Skate Clinics focus on injury prevention, as well as the introduction to the basics of skateboarding. The programs are intended to teach the fundamental skills needed to get your board activist headed in the right direction.
