The Nic Noblique Studio Gallery, newly relocated to Galveston Island and conveniently located just off The Strand, is a 5000 square foot playground for artists and art lovers alike. Much like Noblique’s previous endeavor, Noblique’s Gallery A-go-go in Abilene, Texas, the artist has once again created an experience unlike any other art gallery or art studio you have seen. Inside you will find Noblique’s working studio space including heavy machinery, rollers, welders, canvas, paint, and a chaotic assortment of everything you can imagine an artist might like to experiment with (not to mention a 27-foot half pipe – a sculptural pursuit in and of itself). You get an inside view of what goes into creating Noblique’s monumental sculptures that eventually make their way to galleries, sculpture gardens, private collections, and installations around the globe.
The Studio Gallery also encompasses a 2000 square foot gallery showroom exhibiting the latest of Noblique’s work as well as works from notable Galveston and Houston artists. Sculpture, painting, watercolor, collage and assemblage, and photography mingle together in a fairly raw format bringing the creation, presentation, and final exposition of contemporary art to you in an unexpected juxtaposition of gallery and studio all under one roof. Quite simply, Nic Noblique Studio Gallery has cultivated a whole new art experience you won’t find anywhere else.
