Galveston.com Wins Silver in W3 Awards
[October 23, 2006] - The Winners of The 2006 W³ Awards were recently announced by the International Academy of the Visual Arts today. Receiving over 2,300 entries, The W³ Awards honors outstanding websites, web marketing, and web advertising created by some of the best interactive agencies, designers, and creators worldwide.
Galveston.com, the official website of Galveston Island, Texas was a Silver Award winner in two categories, one for Tourism, which included websites spotlighting destinations; and, second, for Travel, which included travel industry websites including airlines, hotels, resorts, and themeparks.
The W³ Awards is sanctioned and judged by The International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, interactive, advertising, and marketing firms.
