Galveston local Connie Dryden, who also owns downtown design studio Island Flowers, recently opened Nefertiti in the historic Panama Hotel on Galveston's historic Strand. The boutique, named after Island Flower's resident cat, offers casual and dressy clothes from extra-small to plus sizes.

But perhaps the best part? The shop offers only one garment per size, to prevent any fashion embarrassments at local social functions!

Nefertiti also carries Italian handbags, jewelry and sleepwear. Also helping out with business is Dryden's husband Frank.
