David Mullican studied at the University of Kentucky College of Architecture where he received a five year Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1980. During the summer of 1980 David studied in Europe. Besides travelling extensively in North America his interest in architecture has taken him to Mexico, China and Japan.
In 1989-90, while maintaining his practice, David returned to college for his master degree from the University of Houston. During the master program special emphasis was placed on experimental architecture in harsh environments.
In private practice since 1985, David has worked on a wide range of projects but prefers designing individual homes. The primary focus continues to be custom beach homes.
