The menu has ballooned, offering a full range of southern Italian dishes and seafood including Grilled Chicken Destiny (topped with Portobello mushrooms). One taste of the hand-thrown pizza straightens us out. Both a large vegetarian pie, filled with a cornucopia of fresh produce, and a generous medium sausage-and-mushroom won our vote for top traditional pizzas in the Houston area. - Texas Monthly

Starting from Crystal Beach, travel approximately 10.7 miles to the Bolivar Ferry. Upon exiting the Ferry, take Ferry Road (SR-87) approximately 1.4 miles to Seawall Boulevard. Bear right onto Seawall Boulevard. Soon Seawall Boulevard merges into Broadway. Turn left (south) onto 6th St. (University Blvd.) and immediately bear right (southwest) onto Seawall Boulevard. Travel west along Seawall Blvd. for approximately 4.5 miles to 61st St. Turn right onto 61st. Travel down 61st approximately .8 mile. Mario's will be on your right at 2202 61st St.
