The 21st Annual Galveston Home & Garden Show will be held the weekend of March 7- 8, 2009, at the beautiful Galveston Island Convention Center at the San Luis, and we are asking you to support our efforts.

Developed in 1987 as a fundraiser for the Galveston Island Humane Society, the Home & Garden Show has evolved as one of the most popular and best attended events on the Island. The animal shelter provides an important service to Galveston by offering a safe haven for abused and abandoned animals, pet adoption, spay and neutering assistance programs and provides health examinations, medicines, food, and programs such as cruelty investigations, heartworm assistance program, and an emergency care fund. In addition to providing information on the many programs administered and offered at the Animal Shelter, pet adoption is facilitated at the Home & Garden Show.

With more than $2.8 billion of construction currently under way on the Island, the Home & Garden Show is more popular than ever as it continues to provide educational, informative and entertaining opportunities to view home and garden supplies and products, and to offer an opportunity for realtors and builders to showcase their companies. More than 100 exhibitors participated in the 2007 show and daily programs featured green home products, antique and art appraisals, flower arranging, interior design workshops, hurricane preparedness, and gardening seminars.
