The first Fuddruckers opened in San Antonio, Texas in 1980. Phil Romano created it, because he couldn't find a place to get a great, fresh hamburger. The first restaurant, #001, is still in existence right on Botts Lane in San Antonio. However, the Fuddruckers of today is much different than that 1980 restaurant.
When in Galveston's historic Strand District, make the quick walk to Saengerfest Park at 23rd and Strand, and prepare to enjoy one of the finest burgers you'll ever taste - as well as one of the finest outdoor patios on the Island.

Unfortunately, as of December 28th it is still closed (due to hurricane damage I assume). |
