This cheery-yet-simple eatery located on 42nd Street is known for some of the finest Mexican breakfasts on the island. The Burrito Surprise is simply not to be missed, and is full-to-bursting with potatoes, perfectly-scrambled eggs, potatoes, cheese, and crispy bacon - all enrobed in a mouth-watering flour tortilla.
And for lunch? A "Mix Plate" comes with fajitas, carne con chile, chicken enchilada, chile con queso, rice, beans a la charra, and pico de gallo. Steak Ranchero is a 7-oz ribeye prepared Mexican-style with a tasty tomato salsa and served with all the accompaniments. Most of the dinner items are also available for lunch at a reduced price. Look for the Lunch Special of the Day, which can be mole, cabbage and pork ribs, calabaza con pollo, fideo con pollo, chicken and gravy, carne con papas, or chile relleno.
