Couteux Couture, one of the oldest fine clothing boutiques on Galveston Island, would look perfectly at home in New York, San Francisco, Paris, or Milan.
This creation of interior designer Diane Olson was opened in 1991, and has long maintained its original focus of showcasing exquisite, though highly affordable, ladies clothing and accessories. Couteux Couture is located on the 21st Street side of the 1866 Jockusch Building, the first structure built in Galveston following the Civil War.
Diane personally oversees all buying for the shop from select designers, primarily from Los Angeles. Couteux Couture features clothing in sizes ranging from Small to Extra Large, with a large assortment of jewelry, and accessories to complement the outfits.
