Cool Tours' East End Historic Tour is Galveston's most comprehensive sightseeing tour of the Historic East End. The tour covers Seawall Blvd where we provide live narration of the history of Galveston Island and the City of Galveston including Galveston's heydey as the Wall Street of the Southwest, the Great Storm of 1900, the building of Seawall Blvd, and the grade-raising of the Island; then you will see the mansions of Broadway Ave; the 19th century homes and tree sculptures of the East End Historic District; Pier 21 amusement attractions; Historic Strand District with its shopping, museums, and restaurants; the art galleries, cafes and night life of Post Office Street; The Grand 1894 Opera House; the Historic Downtown District; and the Silk Stocking Historic District, and more! During the tour, you will learn about over 30 entertainment attractions and hear interesting stories about Galveston Island's unique history.

Land & Sea Tour
Cool Tours also offers a unique Land & Sea Tour of Galveston Island. We have combined Cool Tours' East End Historic Tour with a 45-minute Dolphin Tour aboard a 36-passenger boat. Your 2-1/2 hour tour starts at Cool Tours' loading location at 25th & Seawall Boulevard, next to the Galveston Historic Pleasure Pier. For the first 30 minutes, you will experience the first half of Cool Tour’s East End Historic Tour. When you arrive at Pier 21, you will board the 36-passenger Dolphin Tour boat where you will enjoy a 45-minute narrated boat tour around Galveston Harbor while in pursuit of the beautiful and fun-loving pods of dolphin that live in the harbor. On the boat, you have a choice of either enclosed seating or outside seating and a restroom is available! After you finish the Dolphin Tour, you hop back onto the Cool Tours bus for the second half of the East End Historic Tour.

Tours operate year-round but the schedule varies seasonally. There are periodic closures due to private charters, weather, etc. so visit our website for information about tour times and any scheduled closures; you can also call 409-539-5374 for the current day’s schedule.

Tickets are on a first-come first-serve basis at the bus. Advanced reservations are available for groups of 6 or more at least 24 hours in advance, by phone.
