Overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, Captain Jack's Beach Bar is a worthy tribute to old Galveston - located at the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort.

It is an "open air" bar that has one of the largest "palapa" roofs in the continental United States. Captain Jack's is one of the "most happening" bars in Galveston throughout the year.

Captain Jack's is conveniently located steps from the beach; minutes from The Strand Historic District, The Texas Cruiseship Terminal, and myriad restaurants; and only a short ride to Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn Waterpark.

From Bolivar Peninsula:
Starting from Crystal Beach, travel approximately 10.7 miles to the Bolivar Ferry. Upon exiting the Ferry, take Ferry Road (SR-87) approximately 1.4 miles to Seawall Boulevard. Bear right onto Seawall Boulevard. Soon Seawall Boulevard merges into Broadway. Turn left (south) onto 6th St. (University Blvd.) and immediately bear right (southwest) onto Seawall Boulevard. Travel west very briefly along Seawall Blvd. to 17th & Seawall Blvd. Captain Jack's will be on your right.
