#LoveGalveston Photo Contest - A Chance to Win Cash, and Be the Face of Galveston

By: Robert Stanton - Isle Guy | Thursday, February 16, 2017

There’s nothing like spending “island time” with your family, taking in the Galveston coast while making memories you’ll cherish for a lifetime. While your memories may be priceless, capturing them in a photograph could lead to some extra bonuses.

The #LoveGalveston Photo Contest began on Valentine’s Day and will run through April. Photographers have a chance to win $1,000 cash for first place, $500 for second place and $250 for third place.

The Galveston Island Convention & Visitors Bureau is looking for visual testimonials to showcase what people love about the island. Photos submitted in the contest may also be used for marketing Galveston as a top tourist destination.

“We are trying to capture the feeling and emotion of memorable experiences. We want to share these moments to inspire future visitation.” said Sarah Kinsler, social media manager at the Galveston Island Convention & Visitors Bureau, the contest sponsor.
