Photo Bistro LeCroy, located in The Strand Historic District, is a Louisiana seafood grill serving lunch and dinner classics.

Starters include crab LeCroy, stuffed jalapenos, shrimp cocktail, crawfish pie, Louisiana meat pies, and crab cakes, as well as a variety of garden-fresh salads and hearty soups.

A tantalizing array of sandwiches are also available, including the Bourbon burger, Atchafalaya cheese steak, the clubhouse, muffallata, and po-boys.

But the real spotlight signs on Bistro LeCroy's cajun-style entrees, including jumbo shrimp, oysters, catfish, snapper, crab cakes. Don't miss the chicken St. Charles, the mouth-watering pork chop, the seared tuna steak, or the unforgettable bistro special.

Beer and wine available.

J.E. Reeves8/23/2008 10:16:00 PMI haven't been there in quite a while and maybe it's gotten better, but the food there is okay if you have never been to Galveston and eaten at other restaurants. I've eaten in New Orleans and there's a reason these guys aren't there anymore. The only thing haunted about this place is the menu that died. Maybe I just don't have an expensive palate, but I don't get it.
Chris7/20/2008 5:25:00 PMThey have the best gumbo and crab cakes I have ever had. We ate there 3 of the 4 days we were in galveston.
Linda Campbell4/10/2008 12:55:00 AMMy husband and I found Bistro LeCroy on an overnight stay to Galveston for Fat Tuesday. We are hooked! I have never had better shrimp and the Crab LeCroy appetizer is a must have. Fantastic food, friendly yet professional service and a warm and inviting atmosphere. We plan to be regulars when we move to Galveston next summer. The building where it's located is reported to have been a makeshift morgue after the 1900 Hurricane which may explain the back room haunts! My suggestion...Walk a little farther down Strand (away from the hustle and bustle) and enjoy the best meal on the street!
Out of Town Visitor3/31/2008 2:14:00 PMFood was very good. Shrimp, Fish, fried okra, cheese cake all Excellent. Dirty rice, so-so. Did visit the haunted room in the back. 2 pictures with orbs. 1 picture with a ghostly image of a lady. We are already planning a return trip.
