Since 2002, the Galveston Island Arts Academy has provided quality arts education and performances for Island citizens and visitors. The property is situated in the old East End of the Island diagonal from the Garten Verein on Avenue O.

The mission of the Galveston Island Arts Academy is to create an encouraging environment for academic, creative, and performance excellence that will represent the highest standards of teaching, learning, and performance. Teachers will be recruited who are committed to the philosophy that student success evolves through careful lesson preparation, attentive lesson participation, and regular performance practice.

The Galveston Island Arts Academy is the proud home of The Galveston Island Children's Chorus, the GIAA Annual Concert Series, and a source for private and group music instruction.
