Home | What to Do | Cruising from Galveston

This ship is a revolutionary marvel of naval engineering. Enjoy one-of-a-kind features like an ice-skating rink, the Royal Promenade and a rock-climbing wall, just for starters. How did Royal Caribbean accommodate all of these innovative ideas? Simple. They built a bigger cruise ship. The 138,000-ton, 3,114-guest Voyager of the Seas became the world's largest cruise ship when it entered service in November 1999. Innovations on this and other Voyager-family ships add up to more space for every guest, and include enhanced staterooms, expanded dining options and exceptional recreational facilities.

From December 2007 through April 2008, RCI's Voyager of the Seas will sail from Galveston on 7-day cruises alternating to various ports such as Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Roatan Honduras and Progresso, Costa Maya & Cozumel Mexico.

When will my cruise documents arrive?

Normally, guest cruise documents are sent to you or your travel agent 20-50 days prior to sailing, assuming your reservation is finalized and your payments have been made. Group and Air/Sea documents require additional steps and will be sent within 30 days of sailing. Documentation may not be provided in advance for bookings finalized the week of the sailing; guests will obtain pertinent details at the pier prior to boarding, and once onboard. In addition, documentation for some bookings will be available online through E-Docs. Regardless of your document status, no one will be allowed on the ship unless his/her name appears on the ship's manifest.

Can I check-in for my cruise vacation in advance?

Yes. Online Check-In may be completed at www.royalcaribbean.com. Completing the Online Check-In process for all the guests in your reservation will save you from having to fill out forms at the pier, which means your cruise vacation adventure can start immediately. Online Check-In must be completed at least 48 hours prior to sailing. Our pier staff will validate all information prior to boarding. Any discrepancies may result in a delay or denial of boarding.

Do I have to book a shore excursion now, or can I do it onboard?

Prebooking your shore excursions online is a good way to make sure you don't miss out on your preferred tour. However, we do reserve a percentage of all tours for onboard guests to be purchased on a first-come, first-served basis. If you decide not to prebook, forms will be available in your stateroom or at the shore excursion desk onboard. Some of our ships also offer an interactive system that allows guests to book tours from the convenience of their stateroom, using the TV. Any tickets you purchase onboard will be delivered directly to your stateroom.

How do I cancel a shore excursion?

You can cancel or change your booking information Online up to 10 days before your scheduled sail date. Once you are onboard, you can cancel or change most bookings up to 72 hours before the tour is scheduled to depart. However, there are some tours that require more advanced notice, as transportation or equipment will have already been arranged. Please consult the shore excursions staff onboard for more information.
