During the evening, guests can enjoy the unforgettable songs of The Temptations, Diana Ross & The Supremes, The Four Tops, The Jackson 5, and other Motown greats.
This premier Mardi Gras event begins at 6 p.m. and includes an open bar, an extensive buffet, and live music by three bands - The Legacy of The Temptations presented by Legends in Concert, New Orleans’ Dr. Michael White Jazz Quartet and Houston’s Eclipse Band and Orchestra as they perform the best of Motown.
Party goers will enjoy prime viewing of the Knights of Momus Grand Night Parade as floats and marching bands pass in front of the hotel. After the parade, the night’s festivities continue in the hotel’s ballroom as The Tremont Ballroom is converted to a classic lounge of the 1960s. Breakfast will be served in the ballroom beginning at 11:00 p.m. Dress for the event is black tie or Motown glamour themed costume. Ball tickets are $200 per person.
A portion of the proceeds from the ball will benefit Galveston Sustainable Communities Alliance (GSCA). GSCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating sustainable and holistic neighborhood revitalization through education, mixed-income housing and community development that provides increased opportunities for Galveston residents.
