Chopin Mon Ami, which caters to myriad departments at the University of Texas Medical Branch, along with industry players BP, Valero and Sterling Chemical, has a new home at 1508 39th Street.
Chopin Mon Ami has expanded operations to include a daily takeout dinner, available for pick-up each weekday. The dinners are available in either individual portions or family-style to feed five.
Sample daily dinners include family favorites such as meatloaf, King Ranch chicken or pot roast, and dinners that offer a taste of the catering menu, such as Brazilian chicken or spaghetti and meatballs.
“We’ve been known for our catering and specialty cakes,” Chopin Mon Ami co-owner Todd Schott says, “but our ready-to-go dinners mean you can serve our food without waiting for a special occasion.”
Schott and his mother, Judy, recently hired Robert Rodriguez, former chef at Dibella’s Restaurant, as their head chef and kitchen manager.
Homemade rolls accompany the dinners, and cakes by the slice are also available for purchase at dinnertime.
Schott recommends calling in advance to reserve dinners at 409-762-2622 ; the meals must be picked up between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Chopin Mon Ami’s 39th Street storefront location in Galveston. The monthly menu is online at www.cmacatering.com.
