First Mate and Captains Quarters are two homes available for rental on Galveston's East End. Both houses are a short walk to both beaches and restaurants, and a short drive to The Strand Historic District and other attractions.

These houses are recommended for couples and families. No loud parties, prom rentals or smoking allowed.

1st Mate is a quaint and comfortable 1900's shotgun-style newly-restored beach cottage that sleeps 4 to 6 and features a large back patio with covered porch, tv/vcr, all new kitchen appliances, washer/dryer, towels and bed linens.

Captains Quarters is a fully-remodeled 1900's shotgun-style house perfect for your beach vacation that sleeps 8 comfortably. The house features an oversized fenced yard, large deck, outdoor swings, barbecue pit, tv/vcr, all new kitchen appliances, washer/dryer, two bathrooms, towels, and bed linens.

Starting from Crystal Beach, travel approximately 10.7 miles to the Bolivar Ferry. Upon exiting the Ferry, take Ferry Road (SR-87) approximately 1.4 miles to Seawall Boulevard. Bear right onto Seawall Boulevard. Soon Seawall Boulevard merges into Broadway. Continue straight (west) on Broadway for approximately .2 miles to 9th Street. Turn left onto 9th St. Travel approximately .3 miles to Ave L. Turn left onto Ave L.
