The Inn 1816 Postoffice is located in the heart of Galveston's East End Historic District.

This gorgeous Victorian Bed & Breakfast dates back to 1886 as a residence and then as a boarding house. The present owners, dedicated to historic preservation, purchased the house with the intention of turning it into a Bed and Breakfast Inn.

The Inn now stands as an elegant showcase filled with indigenous antiques and finely crafted furniture that subtly suggest the time-honored traditions of England's Victorian charm and the American South's genteel grace.

From Bolivar Peninsula:
Starting from Crystal Beach, travel approximately 10.7 miles to the Bolivar Ferry. Upon exiting the Ferry, take Ferry Road (SR-87) and head southeast approximately .9 miles. Turn right (west) onto Harborside Drive. Travel approximately 1 mile along Harborside Dr. Turn left (south) onto 19th Street and travel approximately .3 miles to Postoffice St. (Ave. E). Turn left onto Postoffice St.

From Houston:
Travel Interstate 45 South (Gulf Freeway) to the Galveston Causeway. Soon after crossing the Causeway, I-45 becomes Broadway (SR-87, Ave. J). Continue traveling along Broadway for approximately 2.8 miles. Turn left on 23rd St. (Tremont St.) and travel north approximately .3 miles to Postoffice St. (Ave. E). Turn right onto Postoffice St.
